Alison Nuttall

Full member of Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Women’s Health (pelvic, obstetric, and gynaecological physiotherapy)

Member of Physio First (Association of Private Practitioners). 

Alison qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist from Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge in 1986.

Alison settled in Newbury in 1992 and held senior positions for the NHS in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and Women’s Health. This included physiotherapy input into multidisciplinary clinics in trauma rehabilitation and strategic development of the continence service in West Berkshire.  Alison has participated fully in post graduate education and gained her postgraduate diploma in Continence and Women’s Health in 2001.

Alison became a partner in The Physiotherapy Clinic in 2002 and has been able to develop her special interest and expertise in the treatment and management of sports injuries, back and neck problems, lower limb injuries and Women’s Health. Her own participation in sports and exercise over the years has given her a firm belief in the importance of educating and informing the individual on how to effectively self-manage their musculoskeletal problems.

Alison is passionate about enabling people to achieve their goals by not allowing musculoskeletal problems to stand in the way of health and wellbeing.

Sonya Green

Member of PhysioFirst (Association of Private Practitioners)

Sonya qualified in 1990 having trained at St. Thomas’ Hospital in London. She then went on to work in London, Oxford, Swindon, Basingstoke, Newbury and finally settling into private practice at The Barn.

Sonya has been a partner in The Physiotherapy Clinic since 2007. Since joining forces with Alison the practice has grown and is thriving in its ‘new’ location.

As a truly enthusiastic and self-motivated individual, she aims to achieve the highest standards of evidence-based practice in the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of every patient. Her goals when treating her patients is to help them realise their treatment aims and return them to the activities they enjoy or need to do. Areas of special interest and expertise within musculoskeletal physiotherapy are in the treatment of hands and backs. On a personal level she enjoys keeping fit participating in several sporting activities.

Rebecca Sneath

Rebecca trained at the University of the West of England in Bristol, qualifying in 1998. Rebecca worked as a junior physiotherapist at the West Suffolk Hospital. She then moved to the Royal Marsden Oncology Centre in London treating adults and children with cancer. At this point Rebecca started to focus more on working with children and for the next 8 years worked as a paediatric physiotherapist within the NHS based at hospitals in the Greater London area.

She has worked with children who have special needs as well as children with musculoskeletal conditions and injuries.

Rebecca also has a special interest in Infant massage and is a qualified infant massage instructor.

She is keen to promote the importance of health and fitness education for children and believes that children can take an active role in their rehabilitation to enjoy a healthy, active lifestyle.

Rebecca has maintained her interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy for adults as well as children and since moving to West Berkshire she has been working at The Physiotherapy Clinic combining both her interests. She can assess and treat all musculoskeletal conditions and the addition of her specialism in paediatrics is a valuable asset to the Clinic.

Stacey Morris

Stacey trained at Cardiff University and qualified in 2012 with a BSc Hons degree. After University she moved back home to West Berkshire and started working for Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust where she worked as a Junior physiotherapist. She gained a wide variety of experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, inpatient rehabilitation and community based rehab. In 2014 Stacey specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and took up post as a senior physiotherapist at West Berkshire Community Hospital.

Stacey has experience of assessing and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions as well as expertise in group exercise classes for lower limb rehabilitation, pelvic girdle pain in pregnancy and back pain.

In 2015 she qualified as an acupuncturist and subsequently joined the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. Stacey uses acupuncture for pain management alongside manual therapies and exercise rehabilitation.

Stacey is a keen runner and enjoys keeping herself fit, she Is passionate about promoting the benefits of an active lifestyle and educating individuals around injury prevention and self-management.

Jennifer Austin

Jennifer trained at Cardiff University and qualified in 2011. After university she completed her junior rotations in West Berkshire. Jennifer soon progressed on to a senior rotational position in Surrey gaining a wealth of experience across the neurological rehabilitation, musculoskeletal and domiciliary physiotherapy settings.

Jennifer has a keen interest in movement analysis. This interest has led to her taking on senior roles in both musculoskeletal and neurological physiotherapy teams.

Since returning to West Berkshire Jennifer has specialised in Neurological Physiotherapy at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. She is experienced in assessing and treating a range of neurological conditions including Stroke, Parkinson’s Disease and MS. Jennifer also enjoys leading the neurological hydrotherapy service at the hospital and facilitating group exercise classes.

Jennifer is passionate about health and wellbeing and strives to provide high quality physiotherapy to enable people to achieve their goals.
